What an amazing day the dance-athon has been! The children (and staff!) have brought the energy in their fabulous outfits from the very start of the day when some of them created a dance floor on the playground before school started! There has been dancing in the hall with our dance teacher Dani, dancing on the  playground at playtime and the dancing bell has been ringing throughout the day to signal to stop work and start dancing!

Thank you to all our families for all the sponsor money that has been collected and is already coming in. We are blown away by the amount of money that appears to have been raised. If you haven't sent in your sponsor money just yet, please try and get it into school by the end of the first week back.

A huge well done to our Year 4 team who put on a Pop-up Pre-loved Shop earlier this week. Proceeds are still trickling in but they have surpassed £100 which is fantastic. Thank you to everyone who sent something in or bought something.

The first week back after half term is a busy one. On Monday 24th, all Year 4, 5 and 6 are out of school for the afternoon on a musical adventure! The choir, who have been practising hard since September, will be travelling to Manchester, to join thousands of other children at the  Co-Op Live for the Young Voices concert. Meanwhile, the rest of the children will be travelling to Blackpool to see the National Youth Orchestra in concert at Blackpool Tower. Both events will give the children a memorable, live music event - we can't wait!

On Thursday 27th February, a group of children from the School Council will be travelling down to London by train to visit the Houses of Parliament for the annual 'Speaker's Day' where we hope to see Sir Lindsay Hoyle and find out a little more about his role in Parliament.

A reminder that any pictures that the children have drawn for the visiting artist who will be painting our new library area are due in on Monday 24th February.

Have a great half term break.
